Radiologic Technologist — Mobile / In-Home Imaging
K&A Radiologic Technology Services, Inc. is seeking a licensed Radiologic Technologist to join our mobile imaging team serving Central New York. We provide high-quality, in-home and portable diagnostic imaging services to skilled nursing facilities, assisted living centers, and patients in their homes.
This position is ideal for a motivated technologist who values independence, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic X-ray examinations in non-traditional settings using portable imaging equipment. The technologist works independently in the field while maintaining close communication with dispatch and clinical support staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform high-quality portable X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders
- Operate and transport mobile imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure proper patient identification and exam verification
- Follow radiation safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Accurately document exams and transmit images for radiologist interpretation
- Communicate professionally with nursing staff, facility personnel, and patients
- Maintain equipment readiness and report service issues promptly
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current New York State Radiologic Technologist license
- ARRT certification required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong understanding of radiographic positioning and technique
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in portable or mobile imaging preferred (but not required)
